S2 Construction, LLC began in 2006 when Jake Scheckel completed his first county grading & excavating project in his home town of Bellevue, IA. Since our company opened its doors, we've treated every customer like they were a part of our family. We have completed small scale farm jobs to county roads, pipe installation projects, coalmine reclamations, ponds, as well as large scale state grading & excavation projects.
Jake is a small town family man who understands the value of hard work and honesty. Born and raised in a successful business oriented construction family (his father is the owner of Scheckel Construction, Inc. and his brother is the owner of JJ Scheckel Corp), Jake has been running equipment for over 25 years. As the owner of S2 Construction, LLC he takes pride in doing quality work and staying at the forefront of technology. This is why we use GPS integrated systems in our equipment and on the ground. This allows us to work more efficiently and complete work with an unmatched precision. It provides greater operator control, increased accuracy and higher productivity.

In addition to S2 Construction, we also own and operate Scheckel Trucking, Inc. With seven semis and ten trailers including a low boy, side dumps, belly dumps, step decks, flowboys, and hopper bottoms. STI is an Iowa based carrier providing local and regional services. STI specializes in hauling grain, heavy equipment, rock and asphalt (although we do offer a wide variety of other services as well). We take pride in providing excellent service to you. We are also proud to say that Jake is a third generation farmer. Jake, along with his dad, has been farming soybeans and corn for decades. Depending upon the year, we farm anywhere from a couple hundred acres up to a couple thousand acres of ground.
